Wall of Life

led's on the wall

The Wall of Life is a 8x26 array of blue LEDs spaced 6" apart on a 4'x28' wall. The LEDs are controled by a Parallax SX28 Microprocessor that repeatedly fills the display with random bits and runs Conway's Game of Life. Diffused Acrylic is installed over the LED array to provide a writing surrface for dry erase markers. The project was contracted by the University of Advancing Technology and installed near the University's cafe on April 10th, 2008.
